Great show last night at Port city Music Hall. I just noticed that Donavon technically plays his white Fender guitar upside down and is designed for a lefty. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm not a guitar expert or a Jimi expert, but knowing Donavon was a huge fan could this guitar have belonged to Hendrix?

Ok...how about a poll.....Who thinks Donavon would play a guitar on a consistent basis if it once belonged to Hendrix? :-)

You know what!! i did notice that guitar looked upside down too... but what do i know... i figured that's how it was. :Þ

As to your Poll. I think that Donavon would play a guitar on a consistent basis whether it belonged to Jimmy or not, I like to think that it is more about the passion and the appreciation for the instrument, and changing it would only destroy it's history and defeat it's purpose.

Much like his surf boards, if it Cracks , he now surfs on a cracked board. He wont fix it or replace it, that board now has a history.

Rejanester,

I Did a little research online and Fender made a left handed Jimi Hendrix Tribute Stratocaster with the Fender logo applied backwards....this was so fans could stand in front of the mirror and have the impression of being at Woodstock..(haha no joke)...but the Strat in this pic doesn't have the backwards Fender logo....so it looks like a true lefty guitar.

More than likely this isn't a Hendrix guitar......will have to ask Donavon at the next show :- )

Mr. Admin
Just thought I'd throw this in for you guys...the guitar in question is one of the new Fender "Road Worn" series. You can read about them here: http://www.fender.com/roadworn/site.php?language=us
